NEW DELHI: No less than 26 Maoists have been gunned down on Saturday throughout an encounter with police in Maharashtra‘s Gadchiroli district, PTI reported quoting senior officers.
The encounter befell within the Kotgul-Gyarapatti forest within the early hours of Saturday and was carried out by C-60 commandos of the police.
“Now we have recovered the our bodies of 26 naxals so removed from the forest,” stated district Superintendent of Police Ankit Goyal.
